FPGA Engineer - Contract

6-Month Contract

We're seeking an experienced and driven FPGA Engineer to support in-service programmes within the Land CEMA domain. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in developing and assessing advanced electronic solutions, working on critical defence projects at the forefront of innovation.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior FPGA Engineer, you will:

  • Work alongside delivery teams to support and assess outsourced work packages from suppliers.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to design and deliver compliant CEMA solutions.
  • Provide technical assessments of FPGA delivery timescales and associated risks for ongoing CEMA activities.

What we're looking for

An accomplished engineer with a background in CEMA-related FPGA development and a strong technical skill set.

Required Experience:

  • VHDL / VERILOG and SDR architecture.
  • CEMA domain expertise: RF telecommunications, waveforms, OSI model, SIGINT, EW.
  • Agile development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in C#, C, C++, Python, and database architecture.

Desirable Experience:

  • XML, JICD, networked systems, RESTful/RPC APIs.
  • OPEN CPI component/platform development.
  • Geospatial engines and cloud container technologies (e.g., Docker).
  • DevOps experience and library-agnostic coding.
