Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a EPSL (Electrical Power System Lab) Team Lead to add to their talented, hardworking team on an initial 9 month contract. The Role


As an EPSL (Electrical Power System Lab) Team Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Plan and design ESPL based on the needs of Company IPTs, and manage requirements for EPSL suppliers
  • Develop EPSL's IVV mission based on testing requirements from Company IPTs
  • Perform HVDC P-HIL (power-hardware-in-the-loop) testing on a variety of units under test (UUTs), including lithium ion batteries, battery chargers, electric engines, power converters and switches, and avionics computers
  • Develop and modify the lab's design as its mission evolves
  • Align with the Test Department on testing priorities, implementation of test requests, and arrival and installation of UUTs

In addition, you will also manage the EPSL Engineers for complex aircraft, system & component testing activities as a Team Lead and collaborative work with design engineering and testing teams for development of test schedules and procedures


You

To succeed within the role of EPSL Team Lead, you will have experience in a similar role and have the following skills:

  • 5+ years leading teams in integration and testing for power electronics hardware
  • 5-10 years hands-on testing experience in HIL is required, experience in aerospace, powertrain, mechatronics, batteries, system integration, or power electronics, or similar technological area is highly appreciated
  • Experience in test rig instrumentation, test execution, and data processing required

In addition, experience and familiarity with HIL test systems like National Instruments Labview, Matlab Simulink, Speedgoat, Vector CANalyzer, or similar software and familiarity with development and testing standards for aerospace (ARP4754A, DO-254, DO-178, DO-160, MIL-STD-704) and lithium ion batteries (DO-311) preferred.
