We are looking for a DSP/VHDL Engineer to join the existing team in Great Baddow or Guildford on an initial 6 month contract (extension possible)
As a DSP/VHDL Engineer, you will join a multi-disciplinary team of engineers developing a new space digital system for "space to ground" and "space to space" radio communication, bespoke radio navigation, advanced multi-node time synchronisation, and multi-platform signal monitoring. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Design, implement, test & integrate VHDL modules implementing DSP algorithms
- Matlab and C modelling of DSP algorithms and sub-systems & systems
- Run end to end VHDL, C and Matlab simulations of single modules, sub-systems and the full system
- Design, implement, test & integrate embedded C/C++ modules implementing firmware control algorithms
- Integration of simulated systems/sub-systems onto target hardware
- System validation and verification test campaigns
- VHDL and implementing VHDL DSP algorithms
You
To succeed within the role of a DSP/VHDL Engineer, you'll have experience in a similar position and you'll have the following skills and experience:
- Degree in physics or maths or electronic engineering
- Extensive experience in DSP with coding language C
- Previously worked on ISL waveforms in space
Please note that due to security nature of this role, candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo UK security vetting procedure.
