We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the existing team in London on an initial 12 month contract, 4 days in office, 1 day from home. Condensed week may be considered.

As a DevOps Engineer, will be a key member of a Software Engineering team working with National Security Customers to build systems that support their core mission capabilities. You'll work as part of empowered, autonomous DevOps teams with regular contact with end-users to flexibly and efficiently understand, design, develop, deploy and maintain applications and services. You'll be encouraged to identify new ways of solving problems and get to work in a range of different teams across our customer organisations.

You will work in a small team given as much ownership and responsibility as you have the appetite for but be part of a much bigger Engineering community to give you the support you need to grow in your career. Not only will your team be directly making a huge impact upon the systems you work on, you'll be doing it for an organisation who makes a huge impact to the security of the UK.

You

To succeed within the role of a DevOps Engineer, you'll have experience in a similar position and you'll have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience working in a similar DevOps / SRE / Infrastructure role
  • An appreciation of Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD tooling
  • An understanding of live service and how to support critical business systems
  • Scripting abilities with languages such as PowerShell
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C# and Javascript
  • A working knowledge of Windows infrastructure, Active Directory & Group Policy Management etc
  • Great communication and problem solving skills, and a desire to learn new technologies
  • Working in an Agile environment (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc)
