The Role
As a Cost Engineer, you'll be responsible for the development, control, and monitoring of project budgets, ensuring robust cost management and financial forecasting throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and forecasts

  • Managing project budgets and tracking expenditure

  • Producing regular cost reports for stakeholders and clients

  • Supporting risk analysis and contingency planning

  • Ensuring compliance with cost control procedures and standards

  • Working closely with planning and commercial teams to support project delivery

The Person
To be considered for the role of Cost Engineer, you will need:

  • Experience in a cost engineering role within a complex engineering or infrastructure project

  • Proficiency with cost management tools and techniques (e.g., Prism, EcoSys, Excel)

  • Excellent understanding of cost control principles and earned value management

  • Background in the nuclear or highly regulated sector is highly advantageous

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
