An autonomous aerial platform business which is building a new aircraft system to change the way the world moves goods is looking for an Avionics Engineer to join their growing team. With a great culture, vision, and mission they are focused on bringing innovation to the logistics sector. The business has had an enthusiastic market response, recently received investment from Lockheed Martin's VC division and has a fantastic partnership with a commercial global aircraft producer - this is most definitely a "make your mark" opportunity.
As their Avionics Engineer, you'll own the avionics requirement specification, management and tracking with a particular focus on reliability, fault tolerance and certification. You'll architect the entire avionics / flight hardware technical stack and will be the critical link between other internal engineering teams focused on flight software, vehicle performance requirements, simulation and testing.
To succeed in this role, you'll need to have a systems engineering background (full lifecycle) - at least some of your systems engineering experience will have been on avionics systems, ideally large scale aerial platforms. Any experience of embedded RTOS and / or certification standards will certainly hold you in good stead.
Location wise the business is based in San Francisco but they're happy with a full time remote working arrangement within the United States for the right person (1 week per quarter in SF). Salary wise it's truly competitive so if this type of opportunity interests please get in touch with me ASAP.
