Due to continued investment, this leading-edge business is currently in the midst of a huge recruitment drive and is looking for Analogue Engineers to join their growing team in Cheadle (Cheshire) on an initial 6 month contract.

The Role

Within the role of Analogue Engineer, your key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • To create and agree a development plan with the team leader and then take responsibility for following the plan and requesting assistance as needed.
  • To carry out design activities in a team environment with other engineers.
  • Work collaboratively with production and procurement to produce cost effective, easy to manufacture design solutions.
  • Provide support to the preparation of detailed estimates and bids.

In addition, you will also contribute to the development of the Analogue Design, Simulation and Testing core capability within MMS and support the Hardware Bid and Product Manager to implement Process Improvement and Product initiatives within the team.

You

To succeed within the role of Analogue Engineer, you should have experience in:

  • Lead design engineer for mixed signal / power electronics products.
  • Defence industry background.
  • EMC and LVD Directives and their applicable standards.

You should also the following skills:

Highly skilled in Mixed Signal and Power Electronics Engineering.

Good understanding of Engineering Design lifecycles and the interaction with System Engineering.

Knowledge of the application of engineering design standards to the development of mixed signal and power electronics products.

In addition, you will also need excellent knowledge of the application of EMC and environmental standards in products and ability to use design and simulation tools such as AutoCAD, Simetrix and LTSpice. Due to the nature of this role, successful candidate must be eligible for SC security clearance.
