I joined JAM straight after finishing university - despite being a bit of a numbers geek (Economics BA and Statistics MSc) and always thinking I'd end up in something to do with Finance I'm still in a "people" job over 15 years later and still loving it as much as I did on my first day (cheesy I know but true). My first role at JAM was as a Trainee Consultant and since then I've held a number of different roles including Business Unit Manager for our Managed Accounts & RPO divisions and Client Services Director within our Business Development Team. I was promoted to a Group Director in 2018 and now have a wide ranging role across all aspects of the business… I still "keep my eye in" though and always have a couple of live jobs I'm recruiting for clients!
Why Recruitment?
Before joining JAM I completed a BA in Economics, specialising in Finance followed by an MSc in Social Research Methods and Statistics, both at the University of Manchester. Prior to this I attended Ampleforth College (an all-boys boarding school in the middle of North Yorkshire run by monks) and did A-Levels in Maths, Economics, Ancient Greek and Christian Theology. I loved all of my education years, but after my finishing my MSc I had no idea what I wanted to do so i'm one of the many who fell into recruitment... however, over a decade on I can confirm it's was a great fall as I still love it just as much as I did in 2003!
Why JAM?
Five things; namely no two days are ever the same, the great bunch of people here, the growth plans we have as a company, the career development opportunities and to see us hit the exciting goals we've set as a team and business!
Something we don't know
I once appeared on ITV's popular dating/cookery show, Dinner Date! I'm also the reigning JAM table football and pool champion and challenge anyone to defeat me!I once appeared on ITV's popular dating/cookery show, Dinner Date!
