Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a Construction Manager to join their existing team in Somerset (full time onsite) on a 12 month contract.

The Role

As a Construction Manager, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Support the Construction Project Manager in management of the construction site, including supervising the labour force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work and overseeing quality control
  • Ensure hazards are appropriately identified and managed
  • Production of the Construction Phase Plan
  • Communication with Client, consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and others involved in the project

You

To succeed within the role of a Construction Manager, you'll have experience in a similar position and have the following skills:

  • Detailed knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to the management of construction site - particularly CDM 2015 Regulation
  • Experience of EPC Project delivery in a highly regulated environment - preferably Nuclear
  • Line management capability
  • Production and review of Safe Systems of Work documentation

In addition, you should also have qualification in Safety management eg NEBOSH, IOSH.

Please note that due to security nature of this role, offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining BPSS security clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and will require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
