Safety Engineer
We are looking for a Safety Engineer to support UK Submarine Capability, for a world-renowned Aerospace and Defence Organisations.
Safety Engineer - Permanent Role - Based Weymouth, Bristol, Portsmouth, Barrow-in-Furness - Salary up to £55,000
The Role
As a Principal Engineer you will be:
- Working as part of a team of Safety Engineers supporting each other and junior members of staff.
- Providing product safety management scrutiny of the delivery team safety processes and work products.
- Assessing safety standards through all phases of the engineering lifecycle.
With hybrid roles available working 2 days a week onsite.
The Person
To excel as a Safety Engineer we will be looking for the following:
- Experience in Product Safety and Safety Management, applied to Maritime platforms, or other Safety Critical industries.
- Understanding of the engineering lifecycle and the standards involved.
- A chartered engineer or someone working towards Professional Registration.
- Degree level qualified in a relevant STEM subject or equivalent experience.
