A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing housebuilder, based in Penrith (less than 2 miles from J40 of the M6). This role will suit somebody who has QS experience within a housebuilder and wishes to develop their skills and role in a fast moving and rapidly growing business - career progression is on offer here.
As a Quantity Surveyor you'll play a key role across all the company's housing developments. Your key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
* Administration of all fortnightly and monthly payment certs
* Compilation of tender documentation
* Ensuring site and subcontractors have the correct and relevant specs
* Scheduling the materials and tender process to ensure build costs can be updated in line with materials buying gains / losses
* Working with Site Managers to ensure stock levels
* Value engineering exercises
To succeed within the role of Quantity Surveyor you'll need to have experience of a similar role within house building. Knowledge of current building and planning regulations will certainly hold you in good stead.
