The wait to find out which of Britain’s brightest manufacturers and apprentices will be handed an EEF award is finally over. Last night saw the National gala dinner for the coveted 2015 EEF Future Manufacturing Awards, which took place at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London. The cream of the crop of the UK Manufacturing industry gathered for a well deserved celebration, after all of their hard work and dedication over the last 12 months.
These annual awards are designed to showcase the array of talent and fantastic achievements in our thriving manufacturing sector. As a Judge and Sponsor for the Apprentice category, we can honestly say the standard of all of the finalists this year was phenomenal. We’ve been incredibly inspired by the sheer calibre of the apprentices, and the stories they have to tell has been brilliant to judge.
Here’s a quick rundown of the winners of the Apprentice category (judged and sponsored by JAM Recruitment):
Outstanding Achievement by a Final Year Apprentice
Runner Up: Jade Aspinall – MBDA UK Ltd
Winner: Philip West – Selex ES
Outstanding Achievement by a First Year Apprentice
Runner Up: Jessica Ward – MBDA UK Ltd
Winner: Jonathan Elley – GE Aviation Wales
JAM’s CEO John Morris says “Apprentices like these are the lifeblood of our sector and have a vital role to play in the future of engineering and manufacturing. They have a great career ahead of them and are sure to go from strength to strength.”
