A specialist manufacture in the Oxfordshire area is expanding throughout 2019. As part of their growth, they require the skills of a Design Engineer to work within their in-house design function and for large Pharmaceutical OEM customers. You'll be working on challenging projects from conception through to high volume production. You'll be working on multiple projects, researching / developing new technologies and applications, and engineering a wide range of devices for pharmaceutical customers.

The Role

As a Graduate Design Engineer, you'll be:

* Responsible for the mechanical design and development of complex features, components, and assemblies in Solidworks. Providing robust and innovative solutions to improve product range.
* Generating new and revised 2D detailed engineering drawings with consideration given for manufacturing tolerances.
* Establish and develop understanding of marker, user, and pharmaceutical customer requirements.
* Perform all product design cycle activities such as attending user studies / focus group, establishing design input documents and concept generation.
* Perform analysis of design integrity through analytical mentions and lab testing.
* Generation of design control documentation such as design development plan, design input / output documents design verification, design review, design history file and design change documents.

Your skills and experience:

* Mechanical Design and development of plastic parts for injection moulding, including tooling requirements and features.
* Able to create, understand and develop complex features, assemblies and components.
* Proficient CAD use - Solidworks or similar.
* Previous experience of working in a regulated environment - medical device or similar.
* Materials Knowledge - Plastics / Polymers.
* Technical drawing, geometric tolerancing and tolerance analysis.
