A fantastic Subcontract Manager role with a well respected defence engineering organisation.
A well respected aerospace organisation is currently experiencing an ongoing period of growth and success. Due to an ever increasing workload, they are currently looking to recruit a Subcontract Manager to join their dedicated team of Procurement Professionals. The role is based in Barrow In Furness, Cumbria and is for an initial 6 month duration. There is a rate of £38.88 Ltd Per Hour on offer for the successful candidate. Your main responsibilities as a Subcontract Manager will involve:
Providing governance and leadership to the integrated product teams responsible for key objectives on major programmes
Understanding the customer requirement and development of the contract pack to be sent to suppliers at RFI, RFQ, RFP and Contract placement stages, included but not limited to; commercial and legal requirements, technical data pack, quality requirements, statement of work, schedules, risk, contracting for availability, incentive agreements, protection of intellectual property, international trading requirements (including export licenses, ATTs, ITAR)
Lead supplier engagement activity using appropriate tools and processes such as, quarterly business review, Relationship Management tool, Managing Major Subcontracts, Major Equipment Supplier Procurement, Performance Management Reporting Tool, etc.
Managing SSR's (Strategic Supplier Review's) and coordinate input into the business Contract Status Review process
Carrying out analysis of supplier data and market information in order to support business decisions
Coordinating with operations and Programme management teams to ensure that the material flow meets the operations and Programme schedule
Development and implementation of Procurement Plans and Strategies for all phases of Lifecycle Management
Working with Supplier to develop cost down initiatives through process improvements
Producing accurate records of costs and verify costs against budget to support EAC reviews
Manage all contractual issues with suppliers under your remit and as directed.
Manage Internal Customer relationship management and development.
Effectively manage workload and development of Procurement team members
Your skills and qualifications as a Subcontract Manager:
Proven experience working within procurement as sub contract manager or similar role
Proven Supply chain leadership and management experience .
Strong background in contract management
Degree level qualification in Procurement/supply chain or equivalent preferred. Membership or working towards Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
