A fantastic Tool Store Manger role with a well respected engineering organisation.

A well respected aerospace organisation is currently experiencing an ongoing period of growth and success. Due to an ever increasing workload, they are currently looking to recruit a Tool Store Manager to join their dedicated team of Professionals. The role is based in Portsmouth and is for an initial 6 month duration. There is a rate of £27Ltd Per Hour on offer for the successful candidate. Please find the description below:

Manage and lead a multi-trade team in order to provide an effective loan tool maintenance service, a fixed location counter service and a 'point of use' delivery service as well as taking the lead in procuring new tooling in conjunction with Production Engineering and projects. Ensure the implementation and maintenance of robust management processes and procedures covering the ongoing management of tool calibration. Develop and implement medium and long term improvement strategies that significantly improve levels of service provision and value for money.

Daily booking checks and validation to ensure teams attendance is correctly captured so operatives get paid correctly and the company invoices hours for payment.

* Engage, listen and effectively communicate to the teams to optimise delivery performance.

* The teams will change in scale depending on volume of work, establishing the team dynamics will be a key responsibility of the Loan Store Manager

* Day to day responsibility teams performance management and development to include attendance, sickness, overtime approvals and PDP's (Personal Development Plans).

* Demonstrate excellent collaboration with various internal and external customers which will be critical for creating a team delivery ethos and ethic.

* Lead a continuously improving culture within the teams that will provide year on year benefits.

* Effectively engage with all members of the team to create an open and trusting environment so all views are listened too and heard.

* Responsible for resource allocation ensuring employees are SQEP to conduct tasks.

* Ensure the team understand and implement right first time work acceptance performance.

* Ensuring risk and method statements are in place so work is completed to the high SHE standards.

* Utililise and drive the selected business process and tool sets to enable effective delivery performance.

* Provide knowledge, experience and technical support.

* Develop and manage the loan tool budget, KPI's, Service level agreement.

* Investigate and identify new tooling aimed at improve and efficiency for evaluation by Production Engineering

* Work with internal customers to develop tooling strategy to meet project demand
