JAM is proud to announce that we’ve chosen Help for Heroes as our charity of the year!
Over the next few months we’ve got some great fundraising activities planned.
The first event we've supported is the Help for Heroes ‘A Bridge Too Far Bike Ride’. JAM is proud to have sponsored Pete McCombe, of Team Battle Back, for the duration of the challenge.
Pete, 30, of Liverpool joined the Parachute Regiment in 1998. On his third tour of Afghanistan, Pete suffered appalling injuries when an improvised explosive device exploded. Pete has been a significant fundraiser for H4H and continues to do so in spite of his injuries.

The event took place 13-19th September and aimed to raise a massive £1million for wounded Servicemen and women. Over 200 riders, including many injured personnel set off from Kings Cross St Pancras Station to ride to Brussels and completed the journey of over 325 miles. Members of the JAM team were there to wave Pete off and the great news is that not only did Pete complete the ride but he has raised over £2600.
We were also proud to hear that Pete was presented with the 'True Grit' Award at the end of the ride due to his determination never to give up, despite having to deal with issues with his bike throughout the journey.
All the team at JAM would like to congratulate Pete and all those who took part in the 'Bridge too far Bike Ride.' We would also like to thank everyone who made a donation. The total amount raised by the ride is over £700,000 but it's not too late to make a donation, to find out more go to https://www.bmycharity.com/V2/petemccombe
